The Paykan was the national car. Built in Tehran from 1967 on Hillman Hunter bones, it was for two generations simply what a family drove, what a taxi was, what you learned on. The poster gives it the treatment Detroit gave its own — hero angle, chrome catching the light, open road, monument behind.
