A shamseh — the sunburst medallion Persian artists set at the center of a dome or the opening page of a manuscript — drawn as a flat, modern panel. A twelve-point rosette holds the middle, ringed by a scalloped ochre outline, and the girih geometry radiates outward until it meets a tiled border of stars and arabesque.
