A ceremonial procession carved in the manner of the Apadana staircase at Persepolis, where the subject nations of the empire once filed toward the King of Kings bearing tribute. Spearmen lead, vessel-bearers follow, and a bearded royal figure rides at the head of a two-wheeled chariot — the whole scene held in warm, sunlit limestone.
Please note: this is a flat art print on paper — not a carved, cast or textured object. The depth you see is photographic, raking light across the original stone, and it is what gives the piece its three-dimensional presence on a wall.
The stone's own character is kept intact: the hairline fissures running across the panel, the golden patina worked into the surface by centuries of light, and the deep undercut edges that lift each figure off the background.
