Azadi Tower in Ink
Materials
Fine Art Prints
Premium archival matte fine art paper, 200–230 gsm. Smooth, bright white surface with an instant-dry coating that resists fingerprints and smudging. Printed with archival inks for accurate color and high-contrast reproduction. FSC-certified sustainable paper.
Framed Prints
Solid wood frame, roughly 0.875″ wide, available in light, black, or white. Protected by shatterproof optical-grade acrylic — lighter and safer than glass, and it ships without risk of breakage. Dry-mounted to foam core with a kraft paper dust cover and hanging wire installed, ready to hang out of the box.
Production
Every piece is made to order. Nothing sits in a warehouse — your print is produced after you order it, at the facility closest to your address. That means it reaches you faster, travels less distance, and arrives with a smaller carbon footprint than something shipped from a single central location.
The Azadi Tower in a pen-and-ink style, seen from the angle where its four legs splay widest and the great arch opens toward you. Under that arch the karbandi shows in full — the interlocking rib vault Persian builders had been cutting for centuries before Hossein Amanat put it here in 1971.
All line and stipple. No color, no ground, no city around it. Just the form: the Sassanid vault above, the Islamic pointed arch below, and the fluted piers sweeping down to the plaza.
- Three-quarter view with all four legs of the tower visible
- The karbandi rib vault drawn in detail inside the main arch
- A row of small arched openings along the upper block
- Fine stipple shading that builds tone without a single flat fill
- Black ink on white, no background
Perfect for
- Architecture and design enthusiasts

- Tehranis and the Iranian diaspora
- Anyone who would rather have a drawing than a photograph
